Sobre la historia dice que probablemente sea algun tipo de reboot ya que los actores que quedan vivos muchos no estan en el rango de edad para encajar en el papel, pero que es probable que use los actores de la serie original de alguna u otra forma (lo cual no seria raro ya que en b5 en varios capitulos se vieron los personajes en el futuro, seria muy simple traerlos de vuelta sin inventar alguna pavada estilo leonard nimoy en las nuevas de star trek)Yesterday, at his panel at the 2014 San Diego comic con, J. Michael Straczynski announced that he is going to write a script for a Babylon 5 movie next year and give Warner Bros. first option on it. Expecting (or maybe hoping) the budget to be anywhere in the 100 to 200 million range, if they don’t take it, he’ll sell it to another studio.
FUCK YEAH! con jms escribiendo el guion no tengo duda que va a ser una pelicula digna de la serieGot a bit more information on the plans for the proposed movie script, thanks to Jan over at the JMSnews forum who attended the panel.
When asked if it would be a reboot or a continuation, and if any of the original cast would be used – jms replied.
"It would have to be a reboot because it's been twenty-plus years since we started that show and some of the age ranges wouldn't work with some of these characters so we'd need to move a few people around. But what I want to do is use the original cast one way or another but we'd have to move some things around. I'd love to see Bruce as the President of the Earth Alliance; it would be the perfect role for him."
If Warner doesn’t pick it up (remember they have the TV rights while jms retains those for a movie), he’ll attempt to produce it via his own production company, and indicated it would start to be made in 2016! When asked if there was going to be any crowd funding required - JMS said that he’d resist doing that because it seems to him that SF fans are an exploited group and he doesn't ever want to do that - he'd rather accept investor money..
p.d: a pesar del odio que le tengo al reboot de star trek, hay que darle las gracias por que revivio el mundo del scifi, que hacia años venia plagado de contenido berreta de zombies y vampiros
